Tempest

Easter weekend of 2020 saw the first shows of The Tempest, directed by Zoe Seaton, sell out with incredible reviews and wonderful audience reactions. (4 Stars “Magical…The stuff dreams are made on.”  The Guardian) What began as an experiment – a way for two companies, Big Telly and Creation Theatre to keep their actors working and getting paid and to play with new platforms and formats, turned into a run of 18 shows over a few months. The story unfolded beautifully, with actors playing their hearts out in separate rooms all over the place, creating sound effects and visual backdrops that transported audiences to Ariel’s world and Prospero’s island – drawing the audiences into another world.
